Rhone National Marine Park has the best wreck dive in the Caribbean

Rhone National Marine Park is home to the wreck of a British Packet ship that was owned by the Royal Mail Steam Packet Company (RMSP) and is a must visit place for all history and marine lovers. The ships last sailing was on 29 October 1867 on the Coast of Salt Island located in the British Virgin Islands and was wrecked due to a hurricane which caused a total loss of 123 lives. This site has now become the leading Caribbean wreck dive site and will definitely give you some fantastic holiday memories . This fascinating wreck is worth exploring and is 95 meters in length and 24 meters in depth. The park displays striking examples of sea grass beds and fringing reef habitat and visitors can enjoy scuba diving and observing the decking, steam engine, propeller and rigging parts of the remaining wreck. If you are lucky enough you can also spot turtles, moray eels and lobsters. This marine park has an easy descent to the shallower wreck sections and makes it a great dive especially for those who are not over confident divers. There is plenty of life hidden in this wreck and it is filled with fish shoals and coated in coral. However please not that anchoring and fishing is strictly prohibited in the area.
