The origin of the Old Tower and Torrevieja from your Alicante Villas

Travel south from your ALICANTE VILLAS: head towards Cartagena and take the coast road which is not that busy a road even at the height of summer. The coastal road is one when you can enjoy the sights and just outside of Alicante is the start of the large lagoons. Depending on the season you may see flamingos as you drive past. The road eventually opens up to a dual carriageway and you will see a few villages that dot the coastline. Eventually though you will come across the salt lakes of Torrevieja.
